By submitting an application for membership in the European Union, Lithuania undertook to participate in the common process of implementation of the four freedoms, including freedom of establishment. Therefore, corporate law is regulated by both national and international legislative instruments, and one of the most important legislative goals is to harmonize the corporate law of the Republic of Lithuania with the sources of international law, first and foremost with European Union law.
