Environment is a system functioning in nature consisting of interconnected components (ground and depths, air, water, soil, plants, animals, organic and inorganic materials) and the natural and anthropogenic ecosystems that unite them, therefore the state exercises a high level of environmental system, the use of natural resources and environmental protection regulated by laws and other regulations. Although the laws stipulate that the environmental protection in the Republic of Lithuania is the concern and obligations of the entire country and each of its resident, there are occasions when this obligation is not fulfilled, thus causing damage not only to nature, but also to a person, group of persons, or the society.
